POP-UP: SIGILO BY CHRISTIAN RESTREPO

Hourglass is excited to host a pop up with local Boston designer, Christian Restrepo and his SIGILO collection. Come meet the artist themselves, see their work in person, and have the opportunity to see and purchase one-of-a-kind pieces that won’t be available anywhere else!

From the artist:

“The alchemist believed a creative work has a life all its own, independent of creator, straddling the worlds of matter and psyche, of both and neither.

SIGILO is a body of work created by Boston based American/Colombian maker Christian Restrepo, who's work echos these beliefs with pieces created in a slow cooked manner. Using unusual materials that explore intimate and human emotions through an obsessive, almost ritualistic process, theses ideas are transferred into objects of beauty.”

Upcycle Your Clothes Through Surface Embellishment

Join Project Runway Season 15 winner Erin Robertson for this special workshop at Hourglass Boston. Learn from Erin herself about her favorite tips and tricks to bring new life to your old garments or vintage finds.

You’ll leave with a new way of looking at upcycling and the possibilities of your existing wardrobe: every piece of clothing is a blank canvas!

This workshop will take place at Hourglass when the boutique is closed to the public, so you’ll be able to have Erin’s undivided attention <3

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Space for this workshop is extremely limited, so book your ticket fast!

  • Attendees should have a basic knowledge of sewing to get the most out of this workshop

  • This event is BYOG (Bring Your Own Garment)! Bring a few pieces to choose between: an old cozy sweatshirt, a buttondown with a pesky stain, or a special vintage piece that needs a modern touch.
